Fanatics Collect has unveiled its latest innovation in the form of a new Buy Now marketplace, offering sellers a chance to increase their earnings with simplified fees. The debut of this marketplace comes with a significant change in fee structure, aiming to make it more profitable for sellers to list and sell their collectibles.
One of the key highlights of the new fee structure is the introduction of a flat 6% fee for listings sold for less than $120, a rate that stands as one of the lowest in the industry. This revision replaces the previous 20% buyer’s premium and bonus commission fees, providing sellers with the opportunity to earn more on their sales.
Sellers will now earn the same amount on sales of $120 or more, while enjoying the benefit of earning up to 94% of the listing price on sales under $119.99 – a significant increase from the previous maximum of 85%. The seamless transition to this new fee structure means that all currently listed items will automatically adapt without requiring sellers to adjust their prices.
The refreshed Buy Now marketplace has not only simplified fees but also enhanced the overall selling experience by improving the discoverability of cards, reducing listing times, and incorporating feedback from collectors and sellers. By eliminating the 20% buyer’s premium and bonus commission, sellers are encouraged to price their listings more competitively, thereby diversifying the options available to buyers.
In order to maintain fairness and competitiveness, listings priced more than 20% above fair market value will incur a 15% seller’s fee, deviating from the standard 6%. Furthermore, the removal of the $3 minimum fee for Buy Now sales allows sellers to list items for as little as 50 cents, attracting a wider range of collectibles to the marketplace.
Facilitating quicker transactions is another core feature of the new Buy Now marketplace. With collectors making immediate payments through the Fanatics Collect app, sellers can receive their earnings promptly, while buyers can swiftly add items to their collections.
For sellers who prefer not to operate under the new fee structure, they have the flexibility to delist their items at any time. Support is readily available from sales representatives or the Collector Experience team for any assistance needed during this transition.
